The lack of proper and quality education creates a high illiteracy rate and contributes heavily to poverty; however, there are other dangers waiting for children who are not at their desks\u2014including sexual abuse, unwanted pregnancy, child prostitution, and a vicious cycle of poverty and street life. Girls who work and live in the streets face sexual abuse by adults, rape, unwanted pregnancy and early motherhood \u2013 sometimes as young as 12. These girls are likely to join the rank of child prostitutes or street mothers and continue the vicious circle of street life. Inevitably, they are highly at risk of being infected with HIV\/AIDS<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0There are a number of reasons why children in Kenya do not stay in school, ranging from inability to pay for school fees and required child labor to support the family. Codech Kenya<\/strong> is committed to giving children an opportunity to attend school and protect that opportunity through holistic support of the child\u2019s family and health.<\/span>
\nClearly, education is the backbone of success and the tool that pulls individuals, and entire countries, out of poverty. Codech Kenya<\/strong> utilizes a multi-faced approach to educate orphans and widows in Kenya.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0In order to achieve a personalized kind of approach to the children who are disadvantaged, Codech Kenya<\/strong> has given a lot of wait towards the same and formed a department dubbed Tabitha Children\u2019s\u2019 Home. This is a children\u2019s\u2019 department that has committed and well to do professionals in dealing with matters touching the children.<\/span>
